What Makes You Immediately Like or Dislike Someone?

 

Why is that when we meet certain people in a social setting or come across them online we  immediately  become overwhelmed with dislike for a reason you can't really explain. You try not to judge, you feel like you are giving this person a fair shot but something instinctually just turns sour no matter how hard you try to find the positive. 

 

Meanwhile others can fill you immediately with connection, friendship, attraction etc. You have never met this person but instantly you felt like you have known them forever and it takes no time at all to feel in sync. 

What turns you off when meeting people immediately? Can they ever redeem themselves?
