  This word has become a slur used by the poorly educated people that Trump loves. 

This word should not be used like that. I will explain why I am a proud Liberal and why your modern definition of that word sucks. 

 In the 1700s, wanting to get rid of the king and vote for your leaders was a very Liberal Idea.

In the 1700s .. Demanding to own a gun and demanding the right to own a gun was also a very liberal idea. 

 

 Liberal, Liberty ... Libertarian .... 

Can you see the progression ? 

 So next time you call me a Liberal and I gladly accept that title, just know.
